What a terribly confusing book! It did so little to grasp my interest, yet having read Jeff Long's past few books, I was convinced there was good in it. I was very wrong. This book drones on and on. It is basically supposed to be an adventure novel, somewhere along the first half of the book it turns into some weird fantastical, spiritual ghost story. None of it makes sense. By the end of the book I didn't know which part of it was real. Nor was I sure what the heck this was all about! What a waste of time. I suppose there are some that might find good in its spiritual mysticism and army lore. Not me.
