I've listened to this audio book twice (I swapped it out once and then requested it again, remembering it as a very interesting tale). Again I'm posting it, because like a large Thanksgiving dinner, no matter how much you enjoyed it, you don't want another one for a long time.

It's gotten mixed reviews, not surprisingly, because the author really is a puppet of Martha Stewart's--sacrificing her own self to Martha's strong personality. Martha lends her money (with interest!) to travel around the world with her...treats her badly in front of their friends, is competitive as they try to find suitors, drags her along on stalking trips when Martha is snubbed by men. The list is endless. It's true that Pasternak could at any time have said "no," but the perks of the friendship just seemed too good to say no.

In the end, the friendship is ruined, and Pasternak plays a pivotal role in Martha's being sentenced to jail. If this sounds like an interesting audio journey and a peek into Martha's very interesting life, it is.
