I found this debut novel from a new to me author just so-so. It had a few editing issues and was, in my opinion, overlong. I also thought that the "clue" connected to the crimes was too far fetched for the DI to have thought it was relevant later. Although I haven't warmed up to DI Steel yet, I'll be starting the next in the series later today.
