A Time Of Hope by Terri Reed. This is the first book I have read by Reed (at least I think it is!) and I enjoyed it immensly. It is a Love Inspired Romance. The theme is one I need to hear over and over... we have plans for our lives, but so does God and it may be that His plans aren't the same as ours.. and we need to be willing to let go of ours and follow His.. they are always better!
In A Time of Hope, Jacob Durrand has finished seminary and is ready to slide into service at his grandfather's mega church, but that isn't going to happen yet. Instead, he is being sent to a tiny community to pastor a church while they search for a new shepherd for their flock.
Marta Zimmer is a part of Hope Community.. a big part. Marta has had a sad life and she is working to pay God back for all she has done.. to earn His forgiveness. She has no time for joy, happiness or love.. nor does she deserve them.
As Jacob and Marta's lives are continually thrown together, they learn that God has a different plan and purpose for each of their lives.
