Gabriella Marie, was a professional flautist, lived abroad with her fianc when she discovered that he was not the man that she thought him to be. This discovery took place as she watched her fiancs brother torture and murder two men, while her loving fianc stood there watching. After witnessing such a heinous crime, Gabriella fled in fear of her life to a father that she had not spoken to in years.

Darius Yassoud, a military Special Forces operative, agrees to help his uncle honor a request from a dear friend Sebastian, with whom he credits for his start in business. This favor included as bodyguard for Sebastian's daughter and protecting her from the fianc that she is fleeing. This elaborate protection scheme lands them in New York, living undercover with the best surveillance and resources that money can buy. The only thing is that the fianc and his brother will go to any lengths to locate Gabriella. The fianc wants her back and his brother wants her dead. Out of a need for safety and for Darius' need to keep her safe, they both act on the strong attraction for one another and it eventually turns into love.
