Janet Begay finds herself involved in a dragon trial as the dragons prosecute her handsome and sexy dragon boyfriend, Mick. Mick violated dragon law when he failed to kill Janet because of her beneath magic potential. The problem was that he fell in love with her and believed that Janet could control her magic potentials. As she struggles with the wicked beneath talent, she finds that the dragon council just might be right. She may become a threat to not only the dragons but everyone on earth. However, when murders appear she and Mick find a man who cannot control his talents. When he tries to help others he kills them, turning them inside out. Coyote warns Janet about the use of the beneath magic but she continues to use it to save her friends and fight the new magical man. Will Mick be convicted and die? Will Janet lose the love of her life? The ending provides an interesting twist when Janet discovers who created the magical man who had no control. Enjoyed this one but not as much as Stormwalker. Nevertheless, I will read Shadow Walker.
