Book Review of The Ice Limit

Here is another great story by Preston and Child. I listened to the abridged version on cassettes because it was the only recording available at the time. Scott Brick was the narrator and, as usual, he did a top-notch job.
In this story, we meet Eli Glinn for the first time (he appears in other 'Agent Pendergast' novels later on). Eli's engineering firm has the job of bringing the world's largest meteorite back to America from the southern most part of Chile. This meteorite is the heaviest object ever moved.
I love the Agent Pendergast novels but I also really liked this one too. Every time I listen to one of Preston's and Child's stories, I am amazed by the attention to detail. I end up learning a lot, well, about a lot of things. I really had a hard time "not listening". I started the tapes in the car with my husband. After we got home he went off to do something and I took the tapes and sat and listened until the story was over. I couldn't wait. Next time we were in the car, I heard the rest of the story again (but I didn't mind).
If you like the stories by Preston and Child, don't miss this one because it is only on cassette tapes.
ALSO: I read some of the other reviews on this book. I can understand why some people didn't like the beginning ... I think Scott Brick narration made the difference. He just knows how to tell a story!
