Carothers has rightly discerned the reality of one of the greatest weapons that is provided for our own welfare. Praise has the effect of allowing us to be outer centered upon our Lord, and to get away from being so inner centered as difficult situations arise, regardless of what they are.
The scripture "God indwells the praises of His people" comes to play and God so quickly acknowledges our evidence of dependence upon Him that our praise stance finds Him coming to our aid rather quickly.

There is a saying in some ministry areas, "Praise is the weapon of choice". Again and again I have found this to be true. God used such different weapons and offers them to us: Praise, Love, Humility, patience, compassion, intercession, etc. These tend to bring down those walls of adversity to accompany the lives of so many of us.

Even Paul found that singing and praise opened the door to the prison in which he was bound.

Read this book, seek to understand the concept and then lavishly praise God for all that is in your life acknowledging his kingship over the worst of situations. It will bring both peace as inner and outer changes. I try to keep as many copies on hand to give to others as I can.
