New York City, 1943. Leonard "Mouse" Weiss, a hit man for the Jewish Crime boss Meyer Lansky, suddenly needs to get out of town. Lucky for him, Lansky has a job for him overseas. An underground resistance movement needs muscle and money to intercept a train carrying Dutch Jews to their deaths. But Hitler's Europe isn't Brooklyn. And before Mouse knows it, he's caught in a plot of international consequence that grows more complicated and deadly with each passing second.
