I got this audiobook on a whim and I am so glad I did. It was enjoyable listening to the story.
TO THE WOMEN OUT THERE: Have you ever gotten so mad at your husband that you wanted to throw someone large (like him) through a window. Well, this story starts out with Addy Lipton in her car in front of the garage (a garage Addy calls her husband's Kingdom of Krap). Addy has had it and has backed up the car in preparation for ramming the car through the garage door; she wants to push all the "krap' inside clear through the back wall. Just as she has backed up the car for her final approach, her husband, Lucky, steps next to the car and tells Addy that he has something to tell her. It seems that Lucky has won a trip to Paradise (aka Costa Rica). BUT then the morning of their departure to Paradise, Lucky injuries his back while tossing the luggage into the car. So instead of a trip to Paradise, Addy is told by Lucky's doctors that he will have extensive surgery and then need a lot of home care.... This puts Addy over the edge. She doesn't even know if she loves (or can stand) Lucky anymore.
It is a great story for anyone who has been married for a long time and is finding their husband a little dull and life just too much darn trouble.
