After leaving a career as an investigative reporter, her safe marriage and hectic life in Ny., Bailey settles into a simple existence on the wrong side of an exclusive Hamptons town. She takes a job at a bookstore and tries to figure out why she walked away from everything she'd built. Never imagining the consequences of her quest, Bailey begins to track down her son. Her search leads right into the middle of an investigation into the tragic death of a nineteen-year old girl at the seaside house of one of the summer celebrities. And leads her right to Charlie Prinze, the charismatic, privileged son of the family, who has been charged with manslaughter.
