Charles VII at the Homes of His Great Vassals
This is not one of my favorite Dumas efforts. While presence of Le Roi is necessary to the plot, it is only in a supporting role. The main theme surrounds the petty fiefdom of one of his vassels and the interplay among the noble, his wife, and a slave. I found it dull and uninteresting.
