I love Gena Showalter so I was excited to read this book. It was fun but it wasn't as good as her other ones. I agreed with the review that the banter was missing from the characters and there was a lot of cavemen / Tarzan talk, but it still had some hiliarious moments (something I adore about Showalter books). There were a few cheesy moments, especially in the beginning.

I loved both characters especially Jane because she was so resourceful. And how can you not love a sexy man that would go on an animalistic rampage to keep you safe and sound?

I would have liked a different ending for Laila (one of the baddies here) but at the same time it was fitting for the situation.

Definitely worth the read. I look forward to reading the rest of the series: "Lord of Rage" by Jill Monroe, "Lord of the Wolfyn" by Jessica Andersen, and "Lord of the Abyss" by Nalini Singh.
