Claire is a keeper. That is she's "of the lineage". In other words....she keeps all hell from breaking loose. Literally. And she's a bit conceited about her abilities. Austin is a cat. A talking cat who's always right. And pretty funny to boot. Dean is a drop dead gorgeous 20 yr old who cooks. And cleans. And works for Claire in the run down Bed & Breakfast Claire has been summoned to. Jacques is a lusty ghost who's been haunting the B&B for 70 yrs. And then there are the assorted guests who drop in. Beginning with a vampire and ending with an actual medium. There is never a dull moment in this book. Oh and did I mention there is a hole to hell in the furnace room?
