A decent enough beginning for a private eye series. Even though the ending to this one was seriously telegraphed, I'll read more Harry James Denton. I've never been to Nashville, but Womack makes it as real as Parker's Boston. With not enough great private eye material to read, sometimes good enough will do, and this was good enough.
