I thought this book was just awesome. The mystery, romance, intrigue, blackmail, romantic letters, adapting to a new married life was all just thrilling. I felt it was very logically done with several subplots. I wish a couple could have been developed more but then people would complain the book was too long. Georgiana, elizabeth, Darcy, Lady C, Mr and Mrs. Bennet, Jane and Bingley all followed closely the original characters. Anne wasn't mentioned much. A little light was shed on Mrs. Hurst. Georgiana has a couple suitors. Will she be allowed to break her engagement to an arranged man of fortune and background? Will she be allowed to marry for love? Georgiana is portrayed as very artistic. she is developing and maturing tho she errs and commits several faux pas. Lady C starts to spew poetry now that's a new one. Caroline Bingley falls in love hard and fast. What a picture. Does she hear wedding bells? I love Ms. Odiwe's descriptions of the scenery especially the Lakes District. Poor Darcy still has some of that arrogance, and pride. It takes a bit longer to quench these traits than previously imagined. A great plot that kept me riveted until the very end and indeed i couldn't put the book down.
