That's Amore: A Son Remembers Dean Martin

I grew up seeing the Dean Martin television show with the Gold-diggers and always loved his smooth mellow voice. A beloved babysitter was a movie gossip magazine junkie and I also recall all the stories about Dean's cheating ways and well recall his divorce from Jeanne.

This book was a lovely reminisce of Dean from a son's point of view and, if the son is a bit spoiled and shallow in his memories, the extraordinary love he had for his father shines through. So, too, does Martin's basic decency, his love of family (7 children) and his mellow personality (early to bed, early to rise - to play golf!). A chapter is devoted to Dean Paul, Martin's beloved son who died much too early. Tons of photos. A fun read!
