I found this story of two damaged people one by a horrific war wounds and the other by her life as a nobleman's mistress who find and heal each other above average in dealing with their trust issues and learning to live and really love. I really cared about the H/H learning to not only trust themselves to each other but to start to live in the world and with the people around them.
