Unabridged Edition - 2 cassettes - 3 hours (I wonder what the Abridged Edition is lile) Read by John Glover

If you belong to a book club or a discussion group. this little book will provide you with pro/con ammunition for arguments for months to come!

This story revolves around a group of Ex New York City cops who, as a result of injuries incurred on the job, have been forcibly retired. Each member has his own specialties as well as limitations. They become a renegade unit acting on their own to combat crime. Theirs is a world wherein good is always shadowed by bad, where right is almost indecipherable from wrong, and where the living can, in mere moments, cross over to the world of the dead. (WOW - that was kinda deep, wasn't it?)

Apaches digs down to the gut level of our society and grabs all the socially offensive, unforgivable, unconscious sewage and shows it from the eyes of a 17 year old. Some of you will complain about the graphic brutality of the crimes comitted - some of you may not. Since this book portrays reality (I said PORTRAYS not DEPICTS), some of you will listen to this book in that context (reality), while others will be able to release their grip on reality and see this as a work of fiction.

If you read/listen to books for their entertainment value, Apaches will present itself as a well written book with a memorable cast of characters. I feel confident in recommending this book, although I will allow that it may be too grsphic for some. Keep that in mind when deciding whether or not to lay down your 1 or 2 credits.
