A dog named Baron makes friends with a duckling named Fluffy. They are always together until Fluffy grows up and wild ducks land in the pond. Baron is alone for a while until Fluffy lays and hatches eggs. Then Fluffy and her ducklings rejoin Baron.
Why I recommend it: It's a cute animal story about friendship between two different species. The transitions of Fluffy from duckling to adult are very well drawn.
