To be honest, I didn't finish this book. I was annnoyed and a little confused by the jumping around between generations. First, I got interested in what was happening to Trudy, but then we dropped Trudy and focused on David, a young man about to start studies at Julliard, and his father, Roy. The next thing we know, David is playing in a concert and his son Peter is listening. Roy has disappeared with no explanation. Dates would have helped, and perhaps even a family tree or trees. Sure, I could have perservered and figured it all out, but I wasn't that interested, with so many good books waiting on my TBR list. When I noticed that so many people have it on their wish list, I decided to pass it on.
