Paul Sigmund is a professor of politics at Princeton University, who taught previously at Harvard. Containing St. Thomas Aquinas' views on government, law, war, property, and sexual ethics, this book also contains the Five Proofs on the existence of God, his theories of knowledge, the soul, the purpose of man, and the order of the universe.
Still relevant today, the book concludes with Contemporary Problems in Thomistic Ethics, with selections analyzing the influence of Aquinas' thought on modern debates on war, contraception, and abortion.
Footnotes explain technical terms, historical, Biblical and classical references. A great book for use on researching for term papers!
