Sobia A's review (whether you look at it as a rant or a review) hits all the marks. I have to agree, although the book wasn't that bad, the characters just didn't work. The hero didn't come off as a strong, over-protective, alpha, he came off as an asshole. I don't mind the domination stuff if it fits with the rest of the story, but it didn't work in this book for this character. The heroine came off as lost and not as intelligent as she was supposed to be. The dialogue left me feeling kind of flat too. Previous books by Ms. O'Clare have been really good, so I'm hoping this is just a blip.
