I'm soo glad that I have read other Linda Howard books before I read this one. I enjoy her as an author, but if this had been my first book from her, I doubt I would have read another. Corny, cliched, dated. I could not stand the poor, fragile heroine or the macho hero, so I ended up speed-reading through the book. I could not finish it fast enough. Even the ending was corny.
