It was an intresting story. The descriptions of the alternate world was interesting but there were several flaws in the logic I thought. It seems highly unlikely that such a world could have evolved. I didn't quite understand the lack of technology either. Having lived in the UK for awhile I was amused at the things that were brought over to the NAU. There did seem to be a lot of time spent describing food and resturants. It was like one of the authors was on a diet while writing. It was a good mystery and several times when I thought I had figured it out I was suprised by logical plot twists. I did figure it out before the end of the book but that's okay too. I woulnd't call this a great book but I would reccommend reading it if you enjoy a whodunit or alternate world scenarios.
