Published for the company's 125th Anniversary, this oversized volume consists of advertisements used over the years, along with slogans. The first newspaper ad (1886) used the slogans 'Delicious and Refreshing' and 'Drink Coca-Cola.'
It is noted that Frank Robinson, the accountant, named the beverage in 1886 "and thinking the two Cs would look well in advertising, pens the famous Spencerian script logo." Roger Goizueta, the great CEO (he came up through the international division) is quoted (1996): "A billion hours ago human life appeared on Earth. A billion seconds ago, the Beatles changed music forever. A billion Coca-Colas ago, was yesterday morning."
No index.
And no wishes, so I will leave it on the 'sale shelf' at this branch library for someone else to have for twenty-five cents....
