I thought this up as I was falling asleep, and wrote it down during one of the breaks I have during school. Great pardons if it isn't the best, but I typed it up in about twenty minutes....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The thing I fear and hate the most is those little sores that you get on your tongue. The ones that are formed by your taste buds dying. Once they are there, your mouth hurts any time that you place food or drink in your mouth, and the sore will rub against your teeth as you talk or chew. When you get those sores, you want nothing more than to remove them at any cost. In some cases the only way to remove it, is by hurting your tongue more. I had one of those once, and it drove me crazy. I tried to ignore it, tried to leave it alone. But I just couldn't, so I tried to scratch it off with my teeth. That didn't work and so I began gnawing on my own tongue, chewing the muscle that lay in my mouth. I had finally gotten rid of it, and any future problem with those kinds of things.
Another thing that bothers me, is when anything on my face is uneven. I looked in the mirror one day, and noticed that my eyebrows were not the same shape and they were placed at different elevations on my face. First I attempted to pluck them, removing the hairs that made them uneven, tried to make them appear to be on the same line on my face. When that didn't help anything, I decided to solve the problem by ridding myself of my eyebrow, just making it disappear from my face. Carefully I grabbed the razor, and shaved my left eyebrow from my forehead.
I hear a noise, hold on from my story telling. It's just them coming in with my injections. The ones that make me relax and sit back in my happy place, enjoying my soft room. I'll ask them if I can see my family, ask them why I haven't been able to leave my room, it's not fair. Not Fair. I WANT TO LEAVE! WHY WON'T YOU LET ME LEAVE?! I JUST WANT TO BE WITH MY FAMILY, WHY WON'T YOU ALLOW ME TO GO VISIT THEM?!
Screaming, my throat goes raw and numb, and I finally stop. The drugs are kicking in, and the wall are melting and swirling in puddles of colour. I think I'm gonna take a nap now. Maybe you can come back later and talk with me more. I hope you can. I don't like being alone, I hate it ever so much.

Outside of the room orderlies in white walk by, hearing nothing of the words spoken from the people who inhabit the various rooms of the hospital. St. Mary's Home for the Mentally Disturbed. The calm nurse who walked in to give the screaming patient a shot, hears only the garbled screams and mutters of someone who's tongue has been shredded, bitten apart. The face almost scares him, but he calmly walks out until he can breathe a sigh of relief that he doesn't have to look at the large open sores where the patients left eyebrow used to be. This one is an extreme case of self-mutilation, someone who doesn't even know what they have done to themselves. Completely unaware that they aren't whole any more, who can't see what they now look like without the parts of their body that is now missing. Straightening, the nurse stiffly walks from the door, and heads to his next patient. Hopefully this one is prettier than the last.

My daughter and I read this together[teenager] and we really liked it. Are you going to continue with this story line? Makes us want to know what is going to happen next.

Lena: I do hope to continue with this story, though probably not in the way that you are thinking. It will continue onto other mental disorders that can cause harm to the self and others. Kenji: Thank you.

I love how the patient minimizes their disorder, and then the second person tells the reader what's really going on. That's very interesting. I think it's called an "unreliable narrator".

Okay, you got my interest, a little Stephen King-ish, and little Dean Koontz-ish, don't disappoint me with part 2....mary
