Whats it like outside that door?
I have forgotten the world that passes by

The hustle the bustle the rush to get out
each morning the lives around me leave thru that magical passage

Into a world of laughter and smiles
Where the air flows freely instead of weighing heavily on your chest

Into a world where people say hi and move along
Not stopping to glance at you with pity in their eyes and questions they won't truly understand the answers to

Thru that door the others go...
Into a world that has more to offer than watching the clock hands move

Thru that door each day...
Into a world where the moving clocks hands don't mean that nighttime is coming and with it the darkness & fears that make you wish for morning.

Thru that door they wave and smile and leave me
Alone watching the passage of time.
