Introduction

Hello. My name is Rachel Leigh. Well, actually my name is Kellathel Kieji. I don't look like anyone else, I don't talk like anyone else. I'm not of this world. I am from a planet called Xylodia.I'm now the only Xylodian left in the WHOLE universe. But, you'll find that out later. Here is my story...

* * * * * *

Massive hands gripped my shoulders and the pain made me cry out. "Hey! It's alive!" The EMT yelled to his partner to be careful. He manhandled the body he thought was dead. Then changed his grip to cradle the head and body. He settled the body on the stretcher and his partner began the examinations. The other EMT set the sirens and turned on the bus. "Ready?"

"Yeah, just about." The EMT could not believe the mangled body before him was alive. The chest rose and fell and air raggedly pulled in and out of its gapping maw. Its skin resembled 3 day old cheese pizza. Yellow and red. Dried out and leathery. They weren't like any burn marks the EMT had ever seen. He scrapped a few skin cells off into a sterile bag. He wanted to know more about this. Once he had the machines hooked up, he told his partner to floor it.

It was rainy and windy as the ambulence sped toward the hospital. "Hey, do we have any water or rags? I want to clean this thing up, see what it is." The EMT began searching for some gauze to at least slow the bleeding. The thing began moaning and moving. "I think it woke up. Should I anesthetize it?" The EMT thought for a moment. "Yeah, go ahead. It needs it."
