Hit a real deal at a FOL sale.  Don't know anything about this series.  I have posted the 8 duplicates I picked up.  There are about 19 titles still in my bag.  I am "planning' on reading those before I post them, but if anyone wants a particular title sooner, I will happily post your choice(s).

These books are coded on PBS as Children's Books, ages 9-12.  They are actually marketed as ESL material - most seem to be reading level 6 or 8, per the publishers site

Publicity blurb: "Joan Lowery Nixon, former president of the Mystery Writers of America, has assembled 10 well-known authors to write Thumbprint Mysteries. This unique series offers quality mystery fiction for adults who want to read at their appropriate skill levels. THUMBPRINT MYSTERY AUTHORS -Richard Forrest, Alanna Knight, Ellen Godfrey, Mary Blount Christian, Joan Lowery Nixon & Kathleen Nixon Brush, Judith Andrews Green, Barbara Steiner, Patricia Matthews, Stephen F. Wilcox, and Kathleen Anne Barrett. "

This is my first deal, so please go easy on this newbie.  :)

Jo, do you know if they publish these in any genre besides mystery? Ana wasn't real thrilled with mysteries, but it is something good to start her on. She is my DIL, and just signed up. I'm hoping they will help her :)  Tomorrow we go looking for some books for her in the Spanish catalog!

Hi Sherry.

I don't know much about this series.  They are Thumbprint Mysteries, published by Contemporary Books, a division of NTC/Contemporary Publishing Group.  It sounds like the publisher would probably do other subjects.  You might go crawl the web with the divisions I mentioned & see what more you can discover.  Good luck!
