This historical mystery challenge is very simple read books in as many categories as you can. If there is a category that you really, read as many books as you like in that category (ies). It is nice to share what we are reading and introduce all of us to new authors and books. This Challenge will start Jan 1, 2020

Here are our categories let know if you have any questions or want to chat about your books

  1. Shiny New – Read a historical mystery released for the first time in 2020
  2. Nice to Meet You- Read a historical mystery by a new to you author
  3. Next in Line -- Read the next book in a historical mystery series that you are read
  4. Death -- Read a historical mystery with Death in the title
  5. WWII-  Read a historical mystery set during WWII (1939-1945)
  6. America-- Read a historical mystery set in the USA
  7. Male Author - Read a historical mystery written by a mail author
  8. A while ago - Read a historical mystery set before 1900
  9. Change - Read a historical mystery about an event that changed the way things were (war, prohibition, Women's right to vote etc)
  10. Ordinary People - Read a historical mystery  that does not feature a famous person
  11. Traveling - Read a Historical mystery that person travels to another country
  12. Make up your own category

Starting a new to me Series Murder Knocks Twice by Susanna Calkins. Set in 1920's Chicago Speakeasy. Love 1920's book. I belong to Goodreads Historical mystery group and she is the author of the month.

I am vacation Thanksgiving week and will put up the 2021 challenge.

Suggestions on categories you would like to see?  new or repeating is fine.
