A collection of short stories by the (relatively) new author, Joe Hill. Some are flat-out scary, and others are bittersweet. At least one was just downright funny. Make sure to read the "acknowledgements" section of the book, as there is a hidden story there, as well.

I could not put this book of short stories down. It ranged from the really weird (yet wonderful), to sweet and touching. One story actually had a touch of Kafka to it. I have to say that I loved Hill's Heart-Shaped Box, so I knew I would not be disappointed in this. I can't wait to get my hands on Hill's newest!

I read about 8 stories in this book before I gave up. I utterly loathed the first one. It was gross and predictable. The rest bored me, so I gave up.

Another good book by Joe Hill. I think he is following in the footsteps of his dad Stephen King. I did think 20th Century Ghost was better then The Heart-Shaped Box.

The stories were good. The endings on a couple were a bit disapointing, but maybe thats how they were written, to kind of leave the reader hanging.
