I have several "classic" books I read in high school English class that I took notes IN the book.  While the cover intact and the book is otherwise in good shape, as I say there are notes taken in them... which could be really help a high school English student.  So anyway, here are the titles I have to offer:  Billy Budd (and the Encantadas) by Herman Melville, James Joyce's Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, Sons and Lovers by D.H. Lawrence, The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Lord Jim by Joseph Conrad.  If you find two in this list that you want, I'd be willing to throw in one of the following as the third "free" item even though these books have minimal to no writing in them:  the Cliff's Notes on Shakespeare's Hamlet, the Arco notes (like Cliff's notes) on Lord Jim, Black Boy by Richard Wright, Mrs. Mike by Benedict & Nancy Freedman, the Strength of Love by MLK Jr., Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte, Life on the Mississippi by Mark Twain, the Wordsworth Laurel Poetry Series, The Misanthrope and Other Plays by Moliere, Satan in Goray by Isaac Bashevis Singer, Of Woman Born by Adrienne Rich, and Welcome to the Monkey House by Kurt Vonnegut Jr.  I would also consider any other book on my list as a third book if it is not a heavy book that will require significantly higher postage.  Hope you find something you like!  Pauline

Just a heads up... I noticed that you have the books with notes in the book listed on your bookshelf, however... because of the way you are describing them they are technically not postable books.  As per the rules of the site.
