If you are a primary teacher or anyone who has worked with small kids in the classroom, this will tickle your fancy!

I found it a bit too glib, certainly if you are going to read it in one sitting. Too many forced "Awww" moments that may want to make a classroom teacher puke(I've been teaching 1 year, am I already cynical?). I would note that the author lives in Mountain View, California, apparently been teaching at the same school for 20 years, unless he commutes more than 20 miles he is teaching in a very wealthy district (near Stanford), so I don't have much sympathy for him. Chapters are very short, 2 to 4 pages, they are a series of anecdotes.

This was a quick, funny, easy read. Phillip Done tells stories that he has accumulated throughout his teaching career. Anyone with children, or who teaches children, can definitely relate to stories like, "These are scissors. They are used to cut paper. They are not used to cut our classmates hair." Definitely a laugh out loud book.

I found this book to be funny, entertaining and true to the profession of teaching. The stories are short and well put together.

Funny! It was hard to read after a day in my 2nd grade classroom. It felt like I was still at work!
