74 Seaside Avenue - Cedar Cove, Bk 7 Author:Debbie Macomber Macomber's bestselling multigenerational series returns (following 6 Rainier Drive), interweaving drama and romance from all corners of fictional Cedar Cove, Wash. The focus this go-round is international chess champion Bobby Polgar and his hairdresser wife, Teri. Veiled threats from a Russian opponent have caused Bobby to drop out of tournament... more » play and keep a close watch over Teri, but she's more concerned about the antics of her predatory sister, Christie, who is growing ever more distant. As in past volumes, a raft of supporting characters' subplots run parallel to the leads', among them widowed sheriff Troy Davis, torn between his daughter's needs and a budding romance; physician's assistant Linnette McAfee, leaving town and a broken heart behind; and a love triangle involving Teri's best friend, Rachel. Fans will pick up the threads easily, and newcomers will find most of the relationships self-explanatory (though a chart of characters would prove helpful). As usual, Macomber's unique mix of naivete, soap opera plotting and smalltown charm is virtually guaranteed to please. -- Publishers Weekly« less
What can I say...She has done it again. I have only the highest praise for Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove Series. They seem to only get better with each one she writes. This one is my favorite so far.
There is so much going on; it's like comeing back to your home town and catching up on all of your friends and relatives: people you have grown to know and love over the years. It's irresistible, addictive, and enduring. There's good natured gossip but through hardships and trials these friends come through for each other in the most amazing and heart warming ways.
I wish she'd write more than one a year! I can't wait for "8 Sandpiper Way" and "90 Pacific Boulevard"!!!!
Wonderful book! This is the 7th book in the Cedar Cover series. All are fabulous books about the people of this little town set in Washington State. Each book can stand alone but in each book there is a whole slew of characters from past books. Visit Ms. Macomber's web site for a complete list of books.
