Thanks to Mona, Claire, and RJ for the condolences and supoort I have received via PM and text since my MIL, Donna, died Friday following a major stroke on Monday.
Dave made it there before she died, but she already was no longer opening her eyes and may have been blind though she could still hear and would turn her head to listen when he spoke to her. Before she lost sight, We all got to call on Tuesday before she decompensated and they held phone up to her good side so we could offer words of comfort and tell her we love her. She had been non- verbal since the stroke. 

 Meg and I leave tomorrow morn for the 2 day drive to southern Illinois. Funeral on Friday and cremains internment on Monday at  the military cemetery in south St Louis where her husband is interred. -- no relatives live in Illinois and my 3 girls are spread between Boston, Baltimore, and Florida. 

I received a very shiny card, Arizona magnet, and 130-year-old French coin from Silvercat.. What a wonderful surprise! I love being wonderfully surprised! Thank you, Linda. <3

Thank you to the people who have already sent cards to Jeanne G during this time of grief for her and her family.  For anyone who saw her post above and may be wondering what to do next, there's a bit of info here.

Thanks to Melanie for her continued kindness of sending out her beautiful homemade cards. I had some purchased ones at home but just couldn't justify the space to pack them up and bring them with me.....plus when would I have the time?  We are working  in my MIl's apt til we grab a late dinner and return to hotel then just collapse and try to get a bit of reading time in before bed. 
 

Thanks for your kind thoughts and comforting words via PM-- Towana, Sandi, Melanie, Connie, Pat, and  Nancy  D.   Please continue prayers as family arrives today for the viewing and funeral mass tomorrow. Then some are staying thru weekend ( yes there will be family time with all 3 of my daughters) for the commitment ceremony at the military cemetery in St Louis on Monday morn.
