Welcome to the Wishes thread, where we post our wishes - maybe things we collect, something we can no longer find in our area, things we have always wanted, etc, etc. No wish is too unusual (though common sense is appreciated!); you never know what will turn up.

We must all abide by these PBS rules :
You may not wish for money or money-like items such as gift cards, or for monetary donations for any charities.  You may ask for things you collect for charities, such as cancelled stamps, pop can tabs, etc., but you may not solicit funding. This includes donations for GoFundMe and other fund-raising events.
No buying or selling or advertising. No spam posts.
No wishing for credits.  Credits are bought, sold and loaned only in the Book Bazaar forum, or you may use the PBS Kiosk to purchase them.
Do NOT ask for books, since books are swapped on the site and book deals are made in the Book Bazaar. Sorry, but you may not ask for free books of any kind. (Unpostable books are given away in the damaged book thread of the Bazaar and sometimes in the RAOK thread.  There is also a Damaged/Unpostable Virtual Box in the Games forum.  New participants are welcome!)

Our own RAOK rules: 
Please do not offer payment for the things you are sent, including postage. RAOKs are given freely, asking nothing in return except a thank you. You could pay it forward by granting a wish yourself.
Please limit your wishes to no more than 10. Lists could get very long. You can always edit as you go along.
Unlike many other forums, we ask that you do NOT reply within the threads. We do everything by PMs between members. This keeps the threads clutter-free and easy to use. When you come to this ***Wishes*** thread, you see wishes. In the ***RAOK*** thread, it's all about things we are giving away - simple and easy. And to protect your privacy, please do not post your address in the thread - it's all done via PM.
Please check in and answer your PMs. It's frustrating when people want to grant your wishes and don't hear from you!

I hope this is a wonderful month for us all.

If anyone has the yellow, lined writing pads (comes in packs of 2), I'd appreciate getting them. Not the larger ones. I'm looking for the ones that are about 5x7 size. Dollar Tree normally carries them but for now all I can find are the larger (10x12) ones. Those would work but sometimes I really need the smaller size when writing letters. Also if anyone has any pretty unlined  stationary, I could use that as well.

I would like to let Heather Farah's know how much Heather touched each of our lives by sending them a group letter from us all. I will compile all of our condolences into a Word document that I will print out and send them.

I would love any dvd you might have to share. Old ones, hallmark type, old lifetime movies,  family type,  ones that are not too violent, cartoon ones any like that would be so welcome!  I don't need the cases so they can be sent in a greeting card even, hand stamped by post office though.

Music paper[guitar tab or piano type]  List pads:not the "To do" ones,just cute designs.Neither of my dollar trees seem to carry them.   

I have continued wishes for prayers for my brother who has decided against a transplant at this time.  His cancer is in a holding pattern and the doctor keeps tellling him that his results are unremarkable which is considered very good.  Chuck is so positive and upbeat and helpful with our parents.  He is living his life to the fullest and trusting God to guide him and take care of him.

I also have wishes of prayers for my mom, Martha, who passed out in the kitchen on the 20th of March and ended up with 3 staples in her head from having 2 infections that she was unaware of.  She also cut her ear and it had to be glued.  She was doing great on the 24th but the meds build up and caused a severe reaction (passed out again) on the 25th sending her back to the hospital by ambulance that time.  Mom had red and purple spots that were so close you couldn't see any skin.  Mom was weak and didn't know anyone on the 26th and 27th but is now back on the mend where she can get around and most of her skin looks normal again.  Mom lost 9 lbs in 7 days so need ideas of things that can put weight back on her (she doesn't eat a lot of sweets).  MOM IS DOING GREAT!  IT was touch and go for two weeks.  THANK YOU for the prayers.

So prayers for both family members are always appreciated.

*A postcard showing a typical craft, dress, food, or recipe from your city/state/region—either written on and stamped or new in an envelope.

*A postcard showing a quirky roadside attraction—can be near where you live or not, modern or vintage—either written on and stamped or new in an envelope.

*A small-denomination coin or banknote from outside the USA:

*Any sort of souvenir cotton dish towel/tea towel from anywhere. I have purchased a few of these at thrift stores for around a dollar each (apparently people buy them as souvenirs and then don’t actually use them most of the time), and have come to love them. It doesn’t matter that I’ve never been to the location featured; I get to travel around the world each time I do something in the kitchen! New or used, retro or modern is fine, as long as they are not badly stained or full of holes (small stains/imperfections are no problem).

*A tried-and-true recipe that you have made multiple times and loved, especially one that´s good for spring or summer. Can be handwritten or typed; please tell me any history about this recipe or at least why you like it and when you like to serve it. We have no food allergies and like most things.

*Anything cryptid.

I love leather bookmarks and would like to unearth a few more. If you have any unloved and unused ones lurking in a dark and scary drawer, I promise to give them a good home. Apparently they come out of Great Britain (I have 4 now) and I found in over 70 + years of reading they seem to hold up best. Thanks for reading my request.

Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings. If anyone has old fishing lures (and or plastic baits) in any condition, i would love them. My wife has medical issues so i stay home a lot more than i used to. In doing that, i love to sit at the desk and repair , clean , sort or just play with my baits.

With my extra spare time in the house , i have started playing with making hot sauce. I have planted 4 or 5 different types of super hot peppers and if anyone has some small decorative jars, i would love them. Not real sure if i get chided or not, but i could help if needed.

Prayers for the family of Heather Farah who passed away from cancer yesterday. She had been a frequent raok- er for years and played in the PBS games too. We will miss her greatly. 

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.  I've been having some health issues and have been undergoing various tests which haven't come back with good news.  I meet with my doctor tomorrow to discuss test results and treatment options.  Thank you!

Prayer request from me as well for a dental appointment next week. Jaw joint issues can make dental work harder on me. I most likely will need a small filling. Thank you, friends :)

I am having a heart catheterization done tomorrow for two blocked main arteries in my heart.  Plese pray for a successful procedure and quick recovery and keep me in your thoughts.  Thank you to all who have sent such wonderful encouraging messages and cards.  

Continued prayers as I recover and rest at home following my heart procedure.  My heart catheterization went very well.  Despite the tests showing two blocked arteries in my heart when my doctor performed the heart catheterization he was surprised to find NO blockages, NONE!  I truly believe this was due to  the power of prayer and healing thoughts from family and friends.  I am beyond grateful to those who kept me in your prayers and thoughts,  Thank you, thank you, thank you!
