When I checked out this site just a couple of weeks ago I thought I saw a post (or place) where members could swap ARCs.  I didn't realize until now that some of my books are ARCs.  Now I can't find where the post is, or how to get a hold of members that might be interested.  HELP!!!

I believe the consensus was that you could post them in the Book Bazaar forum and that you can ask for a credit for one, as long as you make it clearly understood that it's an ARC.  Officially however, you cannot post them to your PBS shelf.  The PBS team addressed it recently on the PBS Blog:  blog.paperbackswap.com/

"ARCs and other unpostables can be swapped in the Book Bazaar Discussion Forum or offered as “freebie incentives” to request books from a bookshelf.  So they can still be exchanged here; it is just that they must not be posted to PBS Bookshelves.  All books posted to bookshelves must meet swapping criteria.   You can find new homes for your unpostables using the Book Bazaar - the items can be described in the Book Bazaar and members will know what they are getting.  The Book Bazaar is in the main list of Discussion Forums, accessible under Community at the top of any page on the site."

Yuppers, you probably want the Book Bazaar forum.  There are several threads there appropriate for posting ARCS :-)

So, you post them in the Book Bazar as if you were posting a "post"?  How often can you post the same post if you don't get rid of any?

Yes, you can make an individual post there for your ARCs and then update it as they're ordered, or going by the forum rules, you can bump your topic once per day.  Not looking right now, but there might be a sticky there for unpostables that you can also use (it's been a while since I browsed the BB:P).

THere's also a Damaged Books Virual Box in the games forums.  A lot of people put ARCS in there and exchange them for other books.

There is a thread in the Book Bazaar that is dedicated to ARCs, you can post in there and it will get repeated exposure.

The Book Bazaar rules state no more than 1 post per day that is advertising your "shelf" (I'd consider offering ARCs counted in that even though they can't be on your PBS shelf). You can also only bump your threads once a day. (The rules for that forum are in a read sticky thread at the top, its good to read through that before using the Bazaar).

You might also want to look into the genre specific threads and see if there are any threads dedicated to book offers. It is generally frowned on to post deals/offers in the genre forums, but most have one thread dedicated to it so people looking for that specific type of book don't need to weed through the BB.

Wecome! Happy swapping.

I think this is the thread you were looking at earlier about ARCs:

A interesting tidbit from the Newswire

I got rid of quite a few brand new WLed ARCs by posting them in my Signature after that thread came out, and at another time by making a post in the Book Bazaar.
