This is a very good memoir of a poor girl growning up with an awful, abusive father and a mother who is too submissive to fight back. It takes you through her entire life, up to the time she writes this book.

I felt like the author repeated the same things many times during the book. I understand that is a real story and that she was abused as a kid. I felt sad for her but I didnt get involved in the story. I had to skipped many pages because i was bored with the book.
