Ok I know this should technically be asked on the PBS question board. But since it pertains to WL book on a lot of the people who post on here-that's where I'm asking.    I have a lot of WL books in my TBR pile. I'm making them a priority so I can send them off before they are no longer WL.  Also I have a move coming up and need to purge.  DH will gone the next 2 wks and I plan to get a lot of books read.  Do you PM someone before you post directly to their WL?  I like the idea of posting them to the WL of some of the regular posters. I've had people do the same for me.  I know FIFO and all that but regular posters seem to be more attentive to their accounts.  I've been checking out peoples WL's and I can post 2 or 3 to the same WL for some of you, although I'll probably spread the love around. But do you PM first to make sure they have credits? Or do you just post and then they can buy credits if they need them?

Mary- when I post to someone's WL I do pm them first to make sure that it works for them- I love giving books to people I interact with here!

I PM them first to see if they still want the book then post to their WL.  Personally I like that we can do that because I know the book is going to someone who is going to read it and probably right away or very quickly.  I've got books on my WL that have been there for A-G-E-S and haven't come up available yet.  Some I've even forgotten what they are about!

I've pm'd the few times I've done this just to make sure they're ready for it (sometimes I'm number 36 and wouldn't be expecting it LOL!)

I PM to see if they still want it before I post it to someone's WL. If I post it first and they don't want it any more it will go to the next person on the WL and I'd rather look for someone else in the L&R forum to post it to.

I just like the idea of posting it to someone who's active on the sight.

To post directly to someones WL you have to be looking at their WL and then you click post this book from their WL page. If you do it from the book description page it will go into FIFO.  You have to do it from their main WL page.  Although last week I did this and it didn't go to that person but to the FIFO.  But usually it works.

To post to someone's wish list, go to THEIR wish list and post it there.  Should work that way.

I also P.M. the person before posting to make sure they have the credits and so on if they weren't expecting to get the book for a while.  If they couldn't afford the credit or something like that and had to decline the book after I posted it, it would knock them out of their place on the Wish List.  I think.

I also have alot of wish list books on my TBR pile.  I haven't been posting long but just got a chance to really look around and love the discussions.  I also have alot of wish list books that I find hard to give up, does anyone have that problem also?
