As I was learning information I needed to be an AIDS specialist I read this book to get to the human side. This is the story of the family of Elizabeth Glaser and you might remember she was married to Paul Michael Glaser a big TV star and heart throb. They had a family and she went on to address the Democratic National Convention to help others like herself with AIDS. A brave woman and this is her story, sad, factual. Includes photo section. True story just at the beginning of the AIDS epidemic

In 1981, Elizabeth Glaser contracted AIDS from a blood transfusion. She unknowingly passed the virus on to her two children. In 1988, she and her husband, TV star Paul Michael Glaser, lost their daughter, Ariel, to the disease that had shattered their world. But Elizabeth's struggle had just begun. Moving beyond the tragedy and the tears, she formed a foundation and fought before Congress for pediatric AIDS research and funding. Her story of hope and heartbreak, of courage in the face of devastating odds, will move and inspire you. It's a story you will never forget.
