Splendid! What M. Proust wanted to do. This book is in translation, from the French, but the word craft is still breath taking. A 16 y.o. at the beginning of the 19th CE looks with the eyes of not a child but not an adult. He has no attachment to the past and is too young to fear the future. He looks at the moment with the intent to absorb every particle it has to offer without fear. His only regret is not to fill up on the now. Unlike Proust, the book is short and moves forward with well edited direction.
