The dress is CUTE! And your daughter is SUPERCUTE!

I have fond memories of my mom making us matching outfits.  At that time we were similarly shaped, though.

Thanks Bridget. I had a good time making it. I know I should make more. . .but I'd rather stay up late reading some nights! LOL.

Very cute! I'm still a beginner but I'm having fun. Nice that you posted how it was made too, although I don't have a kid to make clothes for. lol!

Valerie, I peeked in your Etsy. Your beads are beautiful! You can sew something for yourself, though.

Kim, I absolutely love the dress! It's adorable, and your Sophia so beautiful!  I love that you gave the instructions, I'd love to make one for Ainsley.  She still likes  to wear the dress I made her for Easter.  The idea to trace a tank top is a great one, too!

Thanks Kim! I'm still in the collecting fabric stage. ;-) I've only made a few things...a pair of PJ bottoms that are huge (no idea how that happened!), and 2 wallets. Of course I've stitched countless scraps together to learn my machine though. I've also made proto-types for handbags that I will be bead embroidering, which is the reason I got the machine in the first place. The rest is just for fun. :-)

Kim, the dress and your daughter are ADORABLE!

I get the itch to create sometimes, too!  I have a TON of stuff partially completed that I need to finish and put in my Etsy shop.  (There's nothing in it right now.)

If anyone needs/wants/ hoards/collects sewing patterns, check out my list on the RAOK thread!

Jori, thanks! I hoard sewing patterns too. I picked up 4 vintage patterns (circa 50s) last week. They're not even close to my size! (But I know how to alter them, lol).

I understand the UFO problem (UnFinished Object). I have lots of those too. I told myself that I would get my Etsy shop up by the 15th of this month. Not even close! Eeek!
