This is a contempory romance and it about a country girl who fought her way to the top until she was the owner of the richest casino in Reno, Nevada. All though money wasn't everything to Abby, she needed it to search for the two sisters who had been cruelly taken from her years ago.But all the wealth and notoriety in the world couldn't replace the yearning beauty's passion for the men who would forever change her life. Jake Starr: an embittered invalid who learned through Addy's love and devotion-to rise above his pain and live again. Sam Money: a drunken loner who defied all the rules to reach for his own star. Giani D'angelo: A powerful, mysterious stranger whose obsession with Addy threatened to destroy her and her dream. Caught up in a world full of danger and deception, Addy had to rely on her determination and wits to choose the one man who would help uncover the secrets of her past-and share a love that would last a lifetime.

Reviewer: Carla A. Diplacido (Sewell, NJ USA) -

I loved this book! I never read this author before and romance novels are not my genre. In fact, I was surprised to find that this book fell under the 'romance' category. It was so much more. I feel romance is not the main sentiment of this book. I would classify it as a suspense novel with romantic undertones. Initially, you meet the three main characters and how their bonds unfold and I was riveted. I loved these characters and actually thought about them when I wasn't reading the book - like they were real! There are wonderful secondary characters and what I liked was that there weren't so many you forgot who they were and had to look back. Everyone had their place and they were so few you had no problem remembering every one of them. Although romance does bloom in this novel, I found it very suspensful. I couldn't put it down. I was cheering for the main characters and couldn't wait to find out what happened to them. If you have never read this author and if you like suspense novels with developed characters and romantic undertones, then this is the book for you. I don't know if all of her novels are like this but I will definitely try another one!
