I am expecting a book from california the other side of the country,to where I live in on the east coast. How long does it normaly take for a book to be mailed this far? |

My experience has been that distance makes very little difference - even Hawaii. |

If you want to know the average ship time from the state where the book was mailed from, hit the "Was the book received" button for that book. Then be sure to hit the "NOT received yet" button. It will tell you the current PBS average ship time from that state and how long your book has been enroute. Just be careful that you hit the "NOT" instead of one of the received buttons. On a personal basis, I noticed that going from west to east seems to be quicker than east to west. I live in CA and often mail books on Saturday. A number of times, it was delivered on Monday or Tuesday. I think that might be because there are less 1st class mail going out on Saturday, thus leaving more room for media mail. This is just a guess... |
