I couldn't finish this one. Such a disappointment because the characters were so great in the other books.

In the other books Rina wasn't so dumb. Pages were spent arging about whether or not her murder attempts were merely accidents. And Martin needs to find a thesaurus and look up other words for "virile." I absolutely hated snooty Rebecca & her obsession with girls need to play with "girl toys." She doesn't deserve Joe.

Wondering if maybe Martin should have stopped this series a few books ago.

This case may be proven to be too hot to handle. There is silver out there: Sabrina Eckhardt is sure of it. And when she finds the hidden mine on that that big piece of West Texas desert , all of her financial plans are solved. The man she needs with his sills to find the mine is a former Navy fighter pilot and now private investigator is Alex Justice.

When Mysterious "accidents" start to plague their search, it seems like Rina's multi-acre inheritance might be a curse rather than a blessing. And yet, there is something so attractive about Alex, he is so stubborn and proud and being thrust together by danger. But the vultures whoever they are ... are circling. and Rina and Alex need to watch their backs or will they ever see anything besides the sizzling West Texas sun?
