Alexandra The Last Tsarina
Author: Carolly Erickson
The granddaughter of England's Queen Victoria, Alexandra was painfully shy, and her apparent aloofness so distanced her from the common folk that by the time she met her death alongside her family at the hands of the Bolsheviks in 1918, she was not only one of the most powerful women in the world, but also the most despised in Russia.

This book is awesome!! Got me hooked on historical biographies and wanting to get my hands on anything about the Romanovs. Lush descriptions, richly detailed. I could go on but I won't. This is a must read.
