Intense description, lots of energy!
Alone in a sea of people, I stand. Looking toward the horizon I see Thousands upon thousands of faces, Though not one is he who can understand me. My world is small, my heart closed by events and now, I cannot be sated. Stand back! I say, let me be! My misery I will not share. For if you could see inside, Enter you would not dare. My heart grows colder every day, Broken, shattered and torn. My mind has lost its will to be And dreads each coming morn. I try to stand, but sink deeper each day Into a world I hate so much. A world that would deny the one thing I crave The feel of another's touch. Alone in a sea of people, I stand. Not for long though now I fear. For the time when I fall from the cliff Is quickly drawing near. |
