C: (Calliope, Cantaloupe, Camouflage, Cartridge, Callow, Casanova, Curvaceous, Comedian, Clap, Clippers)

Once there was a calliope, who was scorned because she liked to eat cantaloupe, so she had to wear camouflage and carry gun cartridges, to defend herself from her callow peers. Some of them thought they were quite the Casanova, and told her she was curvaceous. She responded that they were comedians, and clapped at their jokes, before threatening them with a pair of clippers.

(One of my weirder ones, but I think it has a certain charm)
