This is supposed to be a humorous book on beer, though also trying to communicate information. The timeline was interesting (but much longer than my interest in the subject). Similar for the discussion of the different types of beer--just a dictionary list, and not very interesting. The toasts were funny, as were some of the rules. The book needed a good editor, though. There were typos, and when using other people's work, it was rarely clear where their words started or ended, which made it hard to read in a couple places. It also included recipes, none of which looked horrible, but none of which looked particularly good either.
